WooCommerce Site Checkout Error Fix

I'm experiencing an error on my WooCommerce site when trying to checkout. The exact issue is an error message that pops up stating "The selected payment method for your order is not available at the moment."
This error is not due to misconfiguration or omission of the Paypal plugin. it occurred during the testing of the "WP Cloud Plugins - Box (Lets-Box)" plugin, and was confounded by updates of 7 other plugins during this time. Unfortunately I don't remember which plugins were updated—however, Paypal was one of them.
