WooCommerce Shopping Cart Speed Boost
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I am seeking a skilled WooCommerce developer with experience in optimizing shopping cart performance.
My site primarily deals with digital products and the project is focused on enhancing the loading time of the shopping cart.
IMPORTANT: Our site is highly optimized and the page does not need optimization.
However, our shopping cart takes 3.8 seconds to load and should be looked at by a technical mind to make the load time much shorter (targeting to 2 seconds).
I asked our webhost for help and here are possible checkpoints to improve loading speed:
- Ensure that WooCommerce's built-in caching is enabled. Also, consider minimizing AJAX calls that occur when products are added to the cart.
- Sometimes, AJAX requests can slow down the response time if they're not absolutely necessary.
- Use Flat Catalog: Enabling the "Product" and "Category" flat catalogs can improve database query times, which might be impacting your cart's performance.
- Check if there are external scripts or calls being made when products are added to the cart. These can significantly affect loading times, especially if these resources are slow to respond.
- Although you've optimized the site, it's possible that a specific plugin (not necessarily related to the number of plugins) is affecting the cart's performance. Try disabling plugins one by one to see if there's a specific culprit slowing down the cart process.
- I can advise on this options to be tried because I do not see anything on server side that can slow down only that section of the website
Key Requirements:
- Optimize the site's shopping cart to reduce loading time.
- Ensure the optimization does not compromise the functionality of the cart.
Ideal Skills:
- Proven experience in optimizing WooCommerce sites.
- In-depth understanding of digital product handling in WooCommerce.
- Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end optimizations.
- Good understanding of UX/UI principles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Successful freelancers should highlight their experience in similar projects.
Looking forward to working with someone who can deliver quick, reliable, and high-quality results.
