Hello, we are "Todo en Abby," a retail business in Venezuela seeking to develop a WooCommerce plugin that allows our customers to track their orders in real-time, from processing to delivery.
Main Objectives of the Plugin:
Order Status: The plugin should provide real-time updates on order status, from payment verification and processing to in-transit and delivered. Statuses should be customizable and visible in the customer’s account.
Real-Time Tracking:
We want customers to view the exact location of the delivery driver assigned to their order on a real-time map, using Google Maps or a similar service.
The system should support multiple delivery drivers, linking the live location of the assigned driver to each specific order.
Driver Management:
Each driver should be registered with basic information such as name, photo, and phone number, so that when they’re assigned to an order, the customer can see their name and photo along with their location on the map.
We need the ability to manage (add or remove) drivers in the platform, as well as manually or automatically assign orders to them.
Technical Requirements:
WooCommerce Compatibility: The plugin must integrate seamlessly with WooCommerce, using standard APIs and functions to ensure compatibility with future platform updates.
User-Friendly Interface for Customers: The tracking interface should be clear and easy to understand, providing a smooth, professional user experience.
Admin Panel: From the WordPress admin panel, we should be able to manage both the order statuses and the driver information.
Location API Support: We would prefer to use Google Maps but are open to alternative solutions if they offer equivalent functionality.
