I have a sports league website for field hockey.
Sometimes a club will pay the memberships for all the team players. There can be up to 20 players per team.
There are different membership options, and these have been created as a WooCommerce variable product which gets added to the cart.
At the moment the club would need to pick a membership, which gets added to the cart. They then proceed to the cart and checkout and fill in the player info to create an account for the player. They then make the payment.
As you can imagine, doing this for 20 players can become frustrating and tiresome.
I am looking to create a more streamlined checkout.
The club wants to be able to fill in each player’s info at checkout, choose the membership option(s) applicable to that player (should be able to choose multiple memberships) and then make one payment for all the player's memberships.
Each player must be registered with the WooCommerce user role "customer" when payment is made, whether they select online or offline payment.
Please note that the option must still be available for just one player to register as well. This is how the checkout process currently works (where a club is not registering and paying for their players).
In the backend, I need a custom section created for the chairpersons to view players that have been registered, their memberships and the amounts paid for that membership. It must also show an unpaid status if the player/team have elected to make payment offline. This must then be able to be updated manually to paid as soon as the payment is made.
I am a frontend WP developer, so I am looking for someone to work with me on this project and show me how to do this, so I like to learn as well. Or maybe it’s as simple as using a plugin and I am overthinking this.
I have just posted the budget as a micro project, but am open to a higher budget.
