WooCommerce Expert Needed: Technical SEO, Performance Optimization & UI/UX Fixes

Job ID: 40330583

Budget: $10 – $3,000 CAD

We are looking for an experienced WordPress/WooCommerce developer to optimize our e-commerce store. We are currently facing several technical challenges that affect our search engine rankings and user experience.

Key Objectives:

1. Indexing & Crawl Budget Management (SEO)

The Issue: Google Search Console shows ~186k pages. Many are auto-generated/low-value pages, causing Google to waste crawl budget.

Goal: Clean up the site structure, configure robots.txt/sitemaps correctly, and ensure only high-priority pages are indexed.

2. Core Web Vitals & Speed Optimization

The Issue: Slow load times (up to 3 seconds for page transitions and "Add to Cart" actions). Core Web Vitals are currently failing.

Goal: Improve LCP, CLS, and INP metrics to meet Google’s standards. Optimize database queries and server response times.

3. Image Rendering & Schema Fixes

The Issue: Product images don't always load on the first try (require a refresh). In SERPs, Google often displays incorrect or random images instead of the main product photo.

Goal: Fix lazy-loading conflicts and ensure proper Schema.org markup for product images.

4. Technical Bug Fixes (404s & Routing)

The Issue: Occasional 404 errors or loading failures when using breadcrumbs or menu links (resolved by refreshing).

Goal: Audit permalink structures and server-side caching to eliminate these intermittent errors.

5. On-Site Search Enhancement

Goal: Upgrade or optimize the built-in WooCommerce search to provide faster, more relevant results for our customers.

Requirements:

- Proven experience with WooCommerce and high-inventory sites.

- Deep understanding of Technical SEO and Google Search Console.

- Expertise in WPO (Web Performance Optimization).

- Ability to troubleshoot complex interactions between plugins and themes.

Please provide examples of previous WooCommerce optimization projects and your approach to handling large-scale indexing issues.
