WhatsApp Integration with osTicket System

Job ID: 39297226

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I am looking for an experienced developer to create a WhatsApp Cloud API integration with osTicket using a plugin-based structure. The goal is to seamlessly integrate WhatsApp into our ticketing system to enhance support capabilities. Below are the key requirements and features we are looking to implement:
? Core Features Needed
• WhatsApp Cloud API Integration with osTicket
• Automatically create a ticket from a WhatsApp message
• When a ticket is created, send an auto-response to the user via WhatsApp
• If a ticket is already open, append incoming WhatsApp messages to the existing thread
• When we reply from osTicket, the response should be sent via the original source (WhatsApp or email)
• Limit the WhatsApp numbers that can interact with the system
• Store all media and attachments using osTicket’s S3 storage configuration
• Ability to use predefined message templates with WhatsApp (like ticket created, closed, etc.)
• Support for media sharing both ways (send and receive images, documents, etc.)
? Ticket Control Features
• Tickets can be created manually by choosing email or WhatsApp as the channel
• The WhatsApp number is owned by the system, not tied to a specific agent
• A confirmation message should be sent to the customer upon ticket creation and ticket closure (using templates)
• Consider using webhooks or other methods to keep updates in sync
? Technical Requirements
• Must be built as a modular plugin to allow future updates and maintenance
• Should work with the latest version of osTicket
• Well-documented and clean code is essential

Deliverables:
• Fully functional plugin with above capabilities ( including source code)
• Setup and configuration instructions
• Basic documentation for use and management
