Web page to accept paypal transactions and then update a database with the payment

I have a web page (PHP) that is linked to a database via mysqli; the only thing missing is a method of payment.
On this page I want a paypal cart which accepts both payments and subscriptions; and when the person pays via this method I want the transaction to update to a database (the database will take the players ID, method of payment and the amount).
You MUST have experience so please send me a link to a web page where you have set this up.
