Web IRC Client Functionality Assistance
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I'm currently dealing with some functionality issues in my web IRC client. The main problem revolves around the process of message sending and receiving, it's not functioning as it should and causing major inconvenience. This is a web IRC client so i'm looking for the client to behave like a IRC client. When kicked out of a channel for a modal to pop up stating that the user was kicked and the reasoning, when a user is forced to join a channel, they need to have the proper chat modal pop up and put them in that channel. I need someone that has a proper understanding of mIRC and that can follow my parameters.
The perfect candidate for this project should have a deep understanding of IRC, in-depth knowledge about mIRC, KiwiIRC, Matrix, TheLounge or similar clients, and demonstrated skills in solving functionality issues particularly related to message sending/receiving aspects. Proven experience in working with IRC protocol and behavior is vital for the effective completion of the project. If you've tackled similar issues before or if you have relevant experience in IRC clients, you are the right fit for this project.
Users are connected to the IRC server via the web client. So you need to have understanding and be fluent in javascript/VueJS, IRC protocol/behavior/RAW codes, and knowledge of web sockets to bridge the web client with the IRC server. Sync the proper information through the bridge. The goal is to create an easy to use chat client that can connect users on any mobile/web device.
