Web Developer - 3 Week Deadline

Job ID: 37705666

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

Project Overview:

We urgently require a highly skilled web developer or development team to create an innovative website for managing and selling shares of raffle draw tickets. This project must be completed within a strict deadline of 3 weeks, with no room for delay.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a Custom Admin CMS: Create a powerful and intuitive backend system for managing raffle tickets, grouping them into shares, and overseeing sales and distributions of winnings.

Design a Responsive Front-End: Craft a visually appealing, user-friendly interface that is fully responsive for mobile devices. This includes creating front-end mockups, converting them to HTML, and ensuring dynamic integration with the backend.

Implement Raffle Ticket and Share Management: The website should allow for listing various companies' raffle draw tickets, grouping them, and enabling the sale of shares in these groups. Users should be able to buy multiple shares.

Share-Based Winnings Distribution: Develop a system that calculates and distributes winnings based on the number of shares a user holds. For example, if 800 shares are sold in total and a user owns 10 shares, they should receive an appropriate share of the winnings if a ticket in their share group is drawn.

E-Wallet Functionality: Integrate a feature for users to receive, store, and use their winnings within the website.

Preferred Technologies: WordPress, Shopify, or PHP CodeIgniter, with a preference for WordPress or Shopify due to the time constraint.

Example Scenario:

Imagine a raffle draw with 300 tickets. We group these tickets and offer 800 shares for sale on our website. A customer buys 10 shares of this group. If one of the tickets in this group wins a $100 prize, the winnings are distributed proportionally. So, this customer would receive a payout corresponding to their share (10/800 of the total prize).

Ideal Candidate:

Must have a proven track record in developing complex websites, especially with e-commerce and dynamic content integration.
Should be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines and be committed to meeting the 3-week project completion timeframe.
Needs to be responsive in communication and proactive in providing updates.
Portfolio showcasing similar projects is a must.
Application Process:

Interested candidates are requested to contact us with their portfolio, highlighting relevant work. Please include a brief proposal outlining your approach to this project, including any initial thoughts on the structure or technology stack.

Applications that do not demonstrate the ability to meet the tight deadline and project complexity will not be considered.

Example Scenario for Share-Based Winnings Distribution:

Imagine a scenario where we have a group of 20 raffle tickets. In the backend, these 20 tickets are divided into 50 shares for sale on the website. Suppose you purchase 40 shares, and I buy the remaining 10 shares. This means you own 80% of the shares (40 out of 50), and I own 20% (10 out of 50).

Now, if any ticket within this group of 20 wins a prize of $100, the winnings are distributed based on the share percentage. In this case, you would receive $80, which is 80% of the prize, corresponding to your 40 shares. I would receive $20, equivalent to 20% of the prize, matching my ownership of 10 shares. This system ensures that the winnings are split proportionally according to the number of shares each person holds in the winning ticket group.
