Web-Based Order Management System
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I need a professional freelancer to design an intelligently organized, web-based order management system. The application will facilitate key business functions including customer database management and providing insightful reporting and analytics.
The ideal developer for this project should:
- Have previous experience in creating order management systems
- Be able to create a frontend and backend that are intuitive and easy to use
- Know how to execute excellent database design for managing customer data
- Be able to integrate reporting and analytics functionality to make informed business decisions
When applying, I require a detailed project proposal that outlines how you intend to execute the project and which technologies you plan to use. 1. Create orders manually or via emails
a. All fields about order available as text, few restricted as drop down and few other auto generated
b. Able to attach and preview documents associated with own order
2. Email
a. Receive email and create a new order or amend if email is about the existing order
3. Follow complete order lifecycle from creation to completion and closed, modifiable at certain steps and manage associated documents
a. Order readiness check and assign to dispatch
b. Assign mode of transport
c. Pickup
d. Custom clearance
e. Deliver
f. Invoiced (both customer and transport company and any other expense)
g. Payment
h. Close
4. Reports and queries for search can be created for order status at various steps, payment status, customer list etc.
5. Notification via email or on desktop for new order, change in status, assignments etc
6. Dashboard based on who logged in (permission based)
7. Order assigned automatically based on group (total three groups)

Setup is a Multi-domain, multi users and groups. One user can have more than one group membership across multiple domains
Alerts and Notifications and a dashboard
Available to both internal and external user
Looking for a open source software which can be customized
Commercial application which have cost per user, like Jira, Service Desk Plus etc. are last resort. First effort to get free open source (iTOP, FreeScout etc. ) or an application with minimal cost.
A documented setup configured for demo is needed with non-production domain before it is accepted and paid
