I am looking for a developer to build a web API for licensing software. The ideal candidate should have experience in PHP programming language. You will also need to know, or be willing to learn, how to work with FastSpring and its Web API, since it is my e-commerce provider.
Database Creation:
- I have a database created with a couple of tables, but open to creating a new one. It will be very simple (a users table and a licenses table basically)
Security Requirements:
- The API should have reasonable security measures to ensure the protection of sensitive data. The software I sell runs on desktop, Windows only, and it needs to query the API every so often to ensure the license is valid. The API will, in turn, need to communicate with the FastSpring API to check payment status.
Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in PHP programming language.
- Experience in creating and connecting databases.
- Experience building a RESTful Web API with a database is a must.
- Strong understanding of security measures for APIs.
- Experience licensing or selling software is preferred.
