WHMCS problem: WHMCS hangs when redirecting users to the PayPal payment gateway
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a website that using WHMCS to take payments and track our subscribers. We use PayPal as our payment gateway. Everything worked fine until about 2 months ago where when the purchaser clicks on Complete Order, WHMCS tries to redirect the purchaser to the PayPal gateway to complete the process. However, this is where the process hangs. Users will get an email stating that their registration is complete; however, they are never taken to the payment gateway to complete the payment. (Again, everything was working fine for 8 months and it start failing about 2 months ago from what I can determine.)
Eventually, the page times out with a HTTP 405 error. It doesn't appear to be an integration failure between WHMCS and PayPal (again, it worked fine for 8+ months). It appears to be a failure going from WHMCS to the PayPal gateway.
I attached a video that shows the failure. I just noticed that WHMCS needs to be updated so that may be the problem. When it works, the user is taken to the PayPal gateway immediately after clicking on Continue Order.
The goal of this project is to get the handoff between WHMCS and PayPal working again. See the attached video for details.
