WHMCS Sumup Payment Gateway 3D-Secure

We currently use WHMCS as our customer portal. Our partner for credit card payments is sumup.com.
We recently were contacted by Sumup, that we need to use their Card widget to provide 3D-Secure support.
Our current payment module is based on a local payment form and will pass the variables to the Sumup API.
We would like to use the new card widget from sumup in the future. You can find more information about the card widget and the way to handle the payment here:

Here is the task:
-Create a payment module for WHMCS
-The payment module needs to use the Sumup card widget
-Optional: Recurring payments
