Volunteer Matching Platform
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 CAD
We want to hire an experienced data scientist/website developer to build a cloud-based platform that matches the skills and the jobs.
The primary platform's requirements will be as follows:
-Organizations seeking volunteers will enter their job titles.
-Volunteers will enter their CVs or skills into the system.
-The platform will recommend appropriate roles across non-profits that match the volunteer's skill set.
-The platform will notify the volunteers and organizations seeking volunteers whenever a skill and job match. -----Volunteers will also be able to search using filters.
This project requires the cooperation of a data scientist and software developer.
Data Scientist:
The project owner will provide a data set of job titles representing current or recent volunteer jobs and job openings and, associated with each title, a list of skills required for that job.
We want the data scientist to generate high-quality job matches based on user-entered natural language descriptions of skills alone. The data scientists should expect the usual problems such as skills being duplicated, spelt wrong, capitalized etc.
Software Engineer (Web Developer)
The software engineer will create a website embedding the data science solution. The website will have other options, such as filter search, a member login page and around 20 additional pages.
