The goal of this project is to develop a custom feature for a BuddyBoss website that allows users to create and manage Private Albums with password protection within their profiles. This feature will enhance privacy by ensuring certain albums remain accessible only to those with the appropriate password, and it allows users to manage their album privacy easily.
Project Scope:
1. Add a “Private Album” Feature:
• Integrate the option to create a “Private Album” in the profile section of the BuddyBoss site.
• This option will appear in the album creation flow, specifically in the dropdown menu where users select album visibility. The new option, labeled “Private Album”, will appear under the existing “ONLY ME” dropdown.
2. Password Creation:
• Users will be able to set a unique password for each album they mark as a Private Album during the creation process. This password will control access to the album, ensuring only those with the password can view it.
3. Password Management:
• After the album is created, users will have the ability to update the password for any Private Album at any time, giving them full control over album security.
4. Setup Requirements:
• Users must define their albums as Private Albums during creation. There will be no option to convert an existing public or private album into a password-protected one after it is created.
5. Restrictions:
• Once an album is created as a Private Album, it will always remain password-protected. Users will not be able to switch its visibility setting to public or any other type.
