Job Title: Experienced Developer Needed to Resolve AI Application Issues
Description:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented developer to address critical issues in our AI-based web application. The main focus of this role is to fix API integration problems and ensure the application functions as intended. This project is high-priority, and we require someone with strong debugging skills, a solid understanding of API-based applications, and experience with modern development frameworks.
If the primary issue cannot be resolved, we may assign an additional task to create a simplified version of the application that serves as an interactive demonstration interface. This secondary task will only be introduced if necessary.
Responsibilities:
1. Fix API Integration:
- Debug and resolve issues with the current API integration to ensure seamless communication with the backend.
- Verify that all environment variables (e.g., API keys, URLs) are correctly configured and being used securely.
- Confirm the application connects properly to the API and performs expected functionalities.
2. Optimize Error Handling:
- Implement robust error-handling mechanisms to provide user-friendly messages in case of API failures or system errors.
- Ensure all sections of the app respond consistently and gracefully to unexpected situations.
3. Deploy and Test:
- Test the application thoroughly after fixing the issues to verify all features are working.
- Deploy the fixed application on our existing hosting platform (Netlify) and ensure it runs without errors.
4. (Optional) Simplified Interface Development:
- If the primary task cannot be resolved, develop a lightweight application as an alternative.
- The app will act as an interactive chatbot interface for demonstration purposes, with backend integration for promotional use.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with API-based applications.
- Knowledge of environment variable management and secure API integrations.
- Hands-on experience with hosting platforms such as Netlify (or similar).
- Proven debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to provide regular updates on progress.
Estimated Time Commitment:
- Primary Task: 2 hours (fixing API integration and testing).
- Secondary Task (if required): 4 hours (building a lightweight demo interface).
