Updating a PHP/MySQL website, upgrading our WordPress.
Budget: £18 – £36 GBP
We have a fairly old website built in PHP/MYSQL, a lot of it has CMS but there are areas which don't so need someone to update those areas for me and do redirect. We have an initial word doc with the work on it.
We then would like to do a refresh of the homepage and website, but baby steps first.
If you have experience with WordPress that would be amazing as our company blog is hosted on WordPress and is very out of date - I cannot seem to upgrade it, if you don't have experience with WordPress then we'd love a quote to create a blog within our website that can be added to / edited in the CMS.
From our old developer:
There’s no backend to access. The site is deployed to an ephemeral environment on amazon web services. You can’t really access this and any changes you made, would be wiped out the next time the site was deployed or restarted.
If you wanted to make changes to the code, you would need to get a local development environment setup. You could then make changes to the code, commit these to the Git repository and then deploy them to AWS Elastic Beanstalk.
