Update PHP/MySQL Website
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Looking for a PHP / MYSQL Developer to transform a codebase that was running PHP4.0 to PHP7.4 / PHP8.0 and initialise with a fresh MYSQL database.
Existing PHP files and MySQL Database to be made available on request.
About the webapp:
The website facilitates an online marketplace, it interacts with a user's account and provides various insights based on their preferred location and their requirements. All scripts are written in PHP 4 and everything was in working order before everything halted in 2011. The database creation/management and any auxiliary scripts are also written in PHP.
Original database (MYD, FRM, MYI) files from a MYSQL 5~ database were archived, but there is no known backup from any SQL or importable information.
About the code:
* PHP 4 - Code was in working order in 2011, the website is planned to be re-launched after a facelift and changes, however, the main parties require access to the previous website to make decisions on what changes to make.
* Major changes required:
* Move from PHP4 "mysql" connections, (i.e. "mysql_escape_string", "mysql_query") to newer non-deprecated syntax.
* Re-creation of database tables in a fresh mysql instance (there is a PHP4 script that runs creation and all relevant information).
Deliverables:
• All PHP files converted to PHP8 from previous version
• An updated 'Create.php' that will connect to a mysql server (with credentials defined in Defines.php) and create and populate all data with a sample in each table.
• A fully working web interface that can be copied to a development server that will allow for:
◦ No syntax-related errors with PHP when running updated scripts.
◦ A fully navigational web interface, that allows for interaction and login/logout functionality.
◦ Creation, population (Through Create.php) and interaction (through other files) with a MySQL instance available on the server.
The main deliverable is the previous website working as was in 2011, with respect to data that has yet to be filled in (i.e. location granularity, vendors, etc.)
