Update and Fix Bugs in a PHP Site
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
Our backend website was developed in core PHP 7.x.x for our logistics company. It needs to be updated and upgraded to the latest PHP version i.e., 8.3.10. Moreover, the current site has many bugs and glitches in the code that also need fixing.
Please Note that this project is on a strict budget, so kindly refer to the budget section and review the project's requirements properly before submitting your proposals. No renegotiations will be entertained once the project is awarded.
About the website:
This website was developed in core PHP, with MySQL as the database server, HTML5 for the UI, and Javascript/Ajax for some of the site's real-time calculations/features. It's the backend site of our company, which means it was developed for the office staff to use for booking consignments and managing bookings, etc, also there's an admin section through which the owners can add/remove and manage staff.
Tasks for the developer:
1) Upgrade the site and replace/update all the deprecated codes and syntax from the entries site's source.
2) Make the site compatible with the latest PHP.
3) Fix all the bugs mentioned in the "Bugs" section and "IssuesWithExistingSoftware.docx" file below.
4) Add/update all the features outlined in the "Features Addition" section below.
Bugs:
1) When using Autofill after submission of booking it prints a black page with tracking number.
2) The number of consignments/items is not updating while Printing/fetching the details of the booking submitted.
3) From and to station cannot be the same, there should be some validation in place.
4) Challan creation is not working as expected. We also need to add functions like total payments received, total POD bookings in a day info to be fetched as requested via filters. (We suggest recreating the challan section from scratch)
5) Detailed review of the rate calculation logic needs to be done. As I have noticed many times the rate does not populate.
6) The DB data processing of all the tables (at booking history, challan history etc) should be done at server-side.
Features Addition:
1) Add surface/air rates section (for frontend site) in the partload booking, and in the db.
2) Add: import/export of master data of our server.
3) Debtors sections require refurbishments and a cash receipt feature to be added to easily and efficiently manage customer payments. Create a customer wise view, in which we can see a history of payments and bookings a customer has made (Like khatabook app).
4) Add products section (for frontend site)
Our server is currently running on php version 8.2.15, and we would like the code base to be upgradable to future versions like 8.3.
Any clarification (if needed) for the logic behind any of the listed features would be explained verbally on calls so as to make it easier and faster to develop.
Versioning : We would like you to properly version all your submitted codes (like "cms-src-v1.1.zip" and so on) for us to streamline and track development efficiently.
