Twilio SMS communication project (Twilio, PHP, MySQL)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a simple webpage form where a supervisor selects several names from a drop down list that is dynamically fed via a database (MySQL).
There is also a textarea field where they describe an upcoming job opportunity and will include things like location, dates and rate of pay. This information is not important other than to provide the recipient info about the job. The textarea will also include instructions of how to reply. For example: Text YES or NO if interested.
Then there is a button to send the form. When the SEND button is clicked, a batch of SMS messages should be sent via the phone numbers associated with the names in the drop down list in the database. There will never be more then 1-10 messages sent at once in a batch. This is because a supervisor will only need a certain amount of personnel for a job. So they must wait for the responses to come back before additional messages are sent if there are still openings.
When the messages are returned, the DB status needs to be updated based on the YES or NO responses. If there is are still openings, then one at a time a new SMS message needs to be sent to the next available personnel until all spots are full.
It's preferable that this is all automatic once the initial form is sent. But if it needs to be a little more manual it's fine.
The database and website are currently working and on a live server so there is no room for redesigning the structure or database at this point. However, this is a fairly simple and straight forward project so there should not be any obstacles. The DB is MySQL and the webpage is pretty plain Bootstrap and PHP. I'd prefer the code be in PHP or Javascript (Ajax, Jquery) and appreciate good commenting for future coding.
Since the website is on a live server you'll have access via FTP or you can build the files on your machine and send them to me to upload. I'll pay 1/4 upfront once we discuss and you accept the job. I don't see this taking more then 2-4 hours for a qualified programmer that has worked with Twilio before. I will pay the agreed upon price that you bid. Please do not ask me how much I am paying after you have already made a bid and I accepted it. I will not adjust my payment unless there is an unforeseen issue and we both agree beforehand. I will however tip you for quick, courteous service and consider using your service in the future.
If you have experience working with Twilio SMS and this makes sense to you then I look forward to hearing from you. I would like to start this project later today or tomorrow and have it working no later than tomorrow night. Thank you for your interest.
