Turnkey Solution - rental website
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

We are looking for a turnkey solution for a rental website that will allow a "landlord" to list virtual items and "tenants" to rent them on an ongoing, monthly basis (such as a subscription). The website is the middle man. There is no direct interaction between the "landlord" and the "tenant". For the purpose of understanding what we want to achieve, the website is for virtual products (we will call marbles for now).
Open to existing open source platforms such as Word Press + Woo commerce, Magento 2 or a platform of your choosing to achieve the solution.
* We will provide the content for the pages (up to 5)
Website
- Landlords and tenants need to fill in a form (application) when creating an account
- Landlord and tenants need to be approved before being allowed to participate in the website
- Tenants and landlords cannot interact
- Simple layout 5 content pages (will be provided)
- Cannot see the names of the marbles unless you are logged in, can see the size of the marbles and pricing
- Minimal list view for the store where the marbles are listed: Name, size, price, add to cart (no images)
- All products in the store are the same, only the name changes as the identifier (there are 2 variables size and category)
- You cannot click on the marbles, only add them to cart and start to rent on monthly basis
- Track the revue by the site, payouts to the landlords, commission paid by the landlords, payments made by the tenants
- Ability to accept / make offline payments such as wire transfers, accept PayPal, credit card payments
- When a marble is rented, it will be removed from the store
- Fees ability to add fees to offset credit card / PayPal / wire fees
- Must be able to integrate major payment methods such as PayPal, offline wire payments
- The site must be secure
Landlord:
- can list marbles for rent on monthly basis
- the landlord will have a view with all his rented and unrented marbles with the price (minus commission)
- a commission is added to the price of the marbles (default site commission and able to change this by landlord if desired)
- the landlord can give the tenant notice to end the rent
- when a landlord lists a marbles, it must be approved by the website before it can appear
- the website will pay the landlord monthly (minus commission)
- Payments to the landlords will be setup offline manually
- the landlord will receive a paid invoice in their name with the amount sent monthly
Tenants
- can rent a marbles from the category of their choice
- will have a view to see their rented marbles and price they are paying (with commission)
- will be able to cancel a rent from this view
- tenants receive an invoice monthly invoice until the marbles are cancelled (by the tenant or the landlord)
- if tenant doesn't pay the invoice before the due date, the rent will be cancelled and the marbles will be visible in the store again
** The project will be clear to the winning freelancer and we will provide competing websites in this space at the time of selection, all functionality is exactly as described here in this project
