Turn a Laravel oauth portal to a fully working SSO

We have been active in the field of grid-connected photovoltaic solar energy for 12 years.
We have a Laravel oauth portal that allow us to connect to one of our website.
We need it to evolve and to become a fully working SSO. We need to implement all basic functionalities like changing or resetting a password.
The website that is currently using the portal is a monitoring system written in React. There are classic forms (login, register...) that send data to another Laravel API. That API is using the portal to get access tokens. This whole mechanic could/should be improved to a real SSO.
The portal is only used for authentication and needs to grant access to the other api. Our React website needs to make plenty of calls to the API to display data
