Transaction Database Design & SQL Optimization

I'm in need of a skilled database designer and SQL expert who can help me set up and optimize a database for storing transaction records. This database needs to handle an expected load of around 100,000 transactions per month and have the capacity to hold historical data for up to 3 years.
Key responsibilities:
- Design a robust database system to be used by Laravel PHP.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and reporting.
- Provide recommendations for the best database to use, taking into consideration system configuration, and DB configuration required for handling this amount of data and queries.
- Optimize the database for speed of queries, as this is the most critical aspect for performance in my case.
Ideal skills for this job include a deep knowledge of database design, SQL query writing, and experience working with Laravel PHP. Familiarity with transaction record databases will be highly beneficial.
