Thunderbird Email Follow-Up Addon Development -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Thunderbird Addon Developer – Automated Follow-Up from Sent Tags. Budget max $100.
Goal:
Build a Thunderbird addon that can automatically send follow-up emails when a tag is applied to a sent message.
Core Requirements
Trigger: When a tag is added to a sent email, start a follow-up sequence.
Sender Control: Follow-ups must send from the same account as the original message, or allow choosing the account if multiple exist.
Templates: Ability to set up multiple follow-up sequences (e.g., Template A = 1 hr → 1 day → 3 days, Template B = different timing).
Auto Stop: Cancel the sequence if the recipient replies.
Queue View: Show pending steps and when they will be sent.
Editing: Allow editing timing and message content for any step.
Settings Page: Simple interface to manage templates and defaults.
Skills Needed
Experience developing Thunderbird addons (WebExtension API).
Strong JavaScript/HTML/CSS skills.
Knowledge of Thunderbird multi-account handling and email protocols (IMAP/SMTP).
To Apply
Send:
Examples of Thunderbird or similar extensions you’ve built.
Whether you’d build from scratch or adapt existing code.
Time estimate for a working version.
This must be fully local — no API calls, external servers, or tracking. Similar in concept to Rebump, but built for Thunderbird.
