Custom Seat Map Builder for Theater Ticketing Platform
We are seeking an experienced front-end developer to build a custom seat map builder and seat selection interface for our new theater ticketing platform. Many parts of the platform have been built already, including the main admin interface, some key components of the front end and the entire MySQL database structure (pending changes from this project, of course).
This is a from-scratch build—we are not interested in third-party seat map libraries or pre-existing solutions. We require original, clean, and maintainable code that will fully integrate with our existing PHP, MySQL, and jQuery-based platform.

KEY DELIVERABLES:
Admin Seat Map Builder:
- Allows administrators to draw venue seat maps (seats, tables, sections) over a background image.
- Seats must be assignable to sections, rows, and have properties such as accessible seating and pricing.
- Features like bulk seat addition, renumbering, and grid snapping.
- Pricing templates and categories can be applied to seats.
Customer Seat Selection Interface:
- Integrates with our existing ticketing system.
- Displays seat maps for specific performances, enabling customers to choose seats and see pricing.
- Responsive, simple, and easy-to-use interface.
Validation & Data Sync:
- Seat maps must sync to our database structure (MySQL) and align with our ticket inventory.
- Built-in validation for seat numbering, pricing, and performance association.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Original, custom-built solution.
- No third-party seat map libraries or drawing tools. We require in-house IP for future acquisition potential.
- Use of jQuery and standard JS is fine, but no React, Vue, or heavy frameworks unless justified.
- Must integrate with our existing PHP/MYSQL setup. We've handled much of the admin interface already, but you will be integrating seat maps into the ecosystem.

- Translate the requirements document into a functioning, user-friendly admin tool and front-end seat selection experience.
