Project Brief: Custom Afrobeats AI Song Generation

This project involves building a frontend user experience and backend flow for an
AI-powered music generation service focused exclusively on the Afrobeats genre.
Core Idea
Users can generate high-quality, full-length Afrobeats songs by simply selecting a category
(e.g. Afro Fusion, Classic Afropop) and typing what they want the song to be about (e.g. “a
love song about long-distance heartbreak”).
The system handles the rest.
All technical elements like tempo, language, vocal style, and mood are pre-programmed
(hardcoded) into the backend for each Afrobeats category. This ensures that users only deal
with content and not song structure or musical styling.
Key Features
● Genre-Specific Simplicity: Users don’t need to write prompts or configure settings.
The platform applies preset musical parameters based on their selected category.
● 5-Minute Song Generation: Users are placed into a brief loading queue (~5 mins),
during which backend operators (or automated scripts) process the song via an
unofficial API connected to a leading AI music tool.
● Watermarking Engine: Free users receive songs with branded voice tags (e.g. “This
track was created with AI”). These watermarks are automatically added before the
song is delivered.
● Premium Access: Paid users receive watermark-free downloads and faster queue
priority.
● Simulated AI Experience: The user sees a staged, step-by-step process ("Crafting
lyrics...", "Combining vocals...") to create the illusion of live AI composition while the
backend team handles the real processing.
Technical Requirements for Freelancers
Have a contest section where users can compete for a prize
● Create a user interface (web-based, responsive) where users can:\n - Choose a
music category
○ Input a simple prompt (song topic)
○ View a 5-minute visual generation progress (with animated steps)
○ Receive their audio file (with or without watermark)
● Build a backend dashboard for operators to:\n - View incoming prompts in a queue
○ Copy template prompts from the selected category
○ Submit them to the unofficial API using a pre-authorized account
○ Upload the returned song file for user access
● Integrate a watermarking solution (Python or FFMPEG) that inserts branded
voiceovers every 30–40 seconds.
