Tech Support with Bitbucket / Git / VS Code for merging repositories

I am the CEO of the AlumniMatch platform, which is an Ionic app using Laravel PHP. I have a team of two part-time developers and they have been working on code which we coordinate using BitBucket. I am fairly technical and I have set up Ionic locally on my personal machine. I downloaded our repo from BitBucket and then I edited code in VS Code. I went to do a pull request, but it says my versions are not sync'ing and there are a lot of conflicts, which I think I need to figure out using Git. I am confused how to properly sync our repos together, do pull requests, and merge code.
I need to hire a contractor to do a screen share with me and be on a call (using Zoom, Skype, Phone call, Messenger, etc.) with me to walk me through how to do everything and answer questions I might have along the way.
AlumniMatch is a social networking app for matching college, high school alumni together. It is an incredible world changing app and as the CEO I want to be fully engaged in the technical aspects of the company especially in these beginning, beta phases.
