TaxJar API Integration
We have a 2-part order form. The first part consists of product selection and shipping info. The shipping address is currently using (and needs to continue to use) a FedEx API for address validation. The second part consists of order total and payment info.
We need to integrate the TaxJar API to return the sales tax (shown on the second page) based on the shipping address entered on the first page.
Sales tax for our product is not required in all states. However, TaxJar charges for each call to their system, even if the sales tax is returned as zero. So I have a static page in our admin panel where we can select which states to use the TaxJar API and which to exclude, using checkboxes.
Our website and control panel is custom built in php/mysql and is not a prebuilt framework.
We need the TaxJar API integrated into our order form, and the ability to include or exclude calls to TaxJar based on the states selected in our admin panel.
I've chosen to add AJAX and Javascript to this project because there is other work that also needs to be done to complete this project, aside from this integration. I prefer to hire the same freelancer for all work if possible. Thank you.
