System Analysis

For this you will produce properly detailed and formatted documents from the Anaylsis phase of the Blog system project. You will use the the complete Blog system as your "to-be" system example: http://www.phpsamples.com/bloglogin/blog.php
You will create the following documents following the examples of each as provided in the textbook.
Requirements Definition (Chapter 3)
A list of the functional and nonfunctional business requirements for the Blog system (See page 117, figure 3-13 for an example).
Use Cases (Chapter 4)
Two (2) detailed use cases that illustrate two basic processes that the Blog system needs to support. (See page 146, figure 4-13 for examples of use cases.)


Process Model (Chapter 5)
See pages 165 - 170 for examples of Data Flow Diagrams (DFD)
Create one (1) level 0 DFD that represents all the major processes of the Blog system
Create two (2) Level 1 DFD that diagram each of the Use Cases you detailed in step 2
I recommend you use the online diagramming tool presented in class: https://online.visual-paradigm.com/diagrams/features/dfd-maker/ (Using the free version of this tool is acceptable - you will have branding on your final DFD exports)
Data Model (Chapter 6)
make an ERD to represent the complete data model for the Blog system
You can use any tool for creating your diagram, incuding online tools, Workbench, MS project, or even Word
See figure 6-14, page 203 for an example off an ERD - you have many examples from your Database course as well
