Solo PHP/MySQL Developer (1:1) – Long-Term Monthly Retainer

I’m hiring a single independent developer to maintain and improve a custom PHP/MySQL CMS (no framework). We’ll start with a couple of paid test tasks and, if it’s a fit, move to a steady monthly retainer. This is a 1:1 communication, calls and coding engagement—no agencies or resellers.
Hours: 50-60Hrs Min.

What You’ll Do
Maintain & optimize existing PHP/MySQL code and database
Fix urgent bugs quickly
Implement small feature tweaks when needed
Occasionally check server logs or adjust permissions on a Linux VPS

How We’ll Work
Monthly retainer: INR 17000 (small paid test task to be completed on a live call)
Light process: Weekly status notes + ad-hoc email/WhatsApp for urgent issues
Stack: Classic LAMP – PHP (procedural + a few OO parts), MySQL, jQuery, Linux VPS

Who I’m Looking For
Independent freelancer only – NO agencies, NO resellers, NO teams
Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on PHP/MySQL experience
Comfortable with Linux basics (logs, permissions)
Must personally write and deliver the code.
You may use AI-assisted coding tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) as long as you personally review, understand, and test all code before delivery.
