Software development - Connect to an API and download JSON data
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
Looking for a software developer for a quick job.
I need the developer:
1) to be located in America or Europe
2) to only bid if required skills and expertise is accomplished
3) to be able to get the job done in a few days (not more than a week)
Requirements for the project:
1) Develop a console / desktop Linux app to perform:
1.1) A continuos (or to run every 60 minutes) SELECT query into a database table (it's called "jobs" table), to seek for new pending jobs ID (status: pending)
1.2) Connect to a third party provider API (*), download information in JSON format based on the job ID and store the values into a database (**)
1.3) Once JSON data is downloaded and stored (***), it needs to update a MySQL "jobs" table, setting the job ID as "downloaded" (status: downloaded)
1.4) The console app needs to display a log in the screen while it's processing. It also needs to save the log in a file.
1.5) It also needs to allow to manually type-in a job ID and run described process.
2) Deliver source code and instructions to get it running.
3) Deploy the software in my Amazon Lightsail LAMP instance and leave it working on production environment.
(*) It's a HTTP API which returns JSON. We expect 500 new records per job ID (only one job per day)
(**) All MySQL database tables are already created and running in a Amazon Lightsail instance.
(***) There is only one API method and it has aprox. 20 fields.
