Software Engineer for Web Application Development
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I am seeking a dedicated software engineer to assist with an ongoing project. The candidate will work closely with me to provide additional support for a web application hosted on the cloud. This role is a full-time position, requiring commitment for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Frontend Development: Enhance and debug the existing web frontend developed using React. Provide efficient solutions for UI/UX improvements.
2. Backend Support: Maintain and develop additional features for our backend which is designed using PHP Laravel. This includes creating new APIs, optimizing existing ones, and ensuring the stability of the platform.
3. Cloud Management: Assist in the deployment, scaling, and management of the application on AWS. This would involve understanding the AWS infrastructure, optimizing the cloud resources, and ensuring the high availability of the service.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with the existing team members to understand requirements, attend regular meetings, and provide updates on tasks.
Troubleshooting: Respond to any technical issues or bugs, and work towards their resolution in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Proven experience in React for frontend development.
2. Strong knowledge of PHP, specifically in the Laravel framework.
3. Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and understanding of best practices for cloud-based applications.
4. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
6. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with a team.
Duration:
The initial contract will be for a period of one month with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.
