Social Media Aggregator Prototype Development

We are working on a project to streamline users' online experience by consolidating feeds, messages, and notifications from multiple platforms (YouTube, Reddit, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook) into a single, user-friendly interface. The MVP will focus on legally integrating multiple platforms using APIs, embeds, WebView, and redirection while ensuring compliance with their policies.

This role requires an experienced full-stack developer who can architect and develop a scalable MVP, ensuring seamless API integration, data aggregation, and an intuitive front-end experience.

Responsibilities:

Develop a working prototype , a social media aggregator application .

Implement API integrations using official APIs (YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook) for data retrieval and display.

Utilize oEmbed & IFrame APIs for embedding social media content while ensuring engagement and views are credited to respective platforms.

Develop a WebView-based approach for platforms that restrict API usage (Instagram, Facebook).

Implement smart redirection for interactions (likes, comments, shares) to respective platforms.

Develop a responsive, mobile-friendly UI/UX.

Implement OAuth authentication for secure user login and account connections.

Optimize app performance, ensuring compliance with API rate limits.

Ensure security best practices, including token management and user data protection.

Provide documentation for API implementation and app functionality.

Technical Requirements:

Frontend (User Interface)

React Native (Preferred) or Flutter (Cross-platform mobile app development)

UI frameworks: TailwindCSS, Material UI, or Shadcn/ui

WebView integration for platforms with limited API access

OAuth 2.0 authentication for secure logins

Responsive and dynamic UI/UX implementation

Backend (API & Server-Side Logic)

Node.js with Express.js (Preferred) or Python Django/FastAPI

MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Firebase (for user data storage & token management)

Secure API integration with YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram

Background cron jobs to periodically fetch new data

Cloud hosting (AWS, Firebase, or DigitalOcean)

OAuth 2.0 implementation for authentication

Logging & monitoring setup for API rate limits

API Integrations (Compliance-Focused)

YouTube (IFrame API) – Embed videos while ensuring views count on YouTube.

Twitter (oEmbed API) – Display tweets while ensuring engagement happens on Twitter.

Reddit (Embed API) – Show posts while respecting platform policies.

Instagram (oEmbed + WebView approach) – Embed public posts; use WebView for private feeds.

Facebook (Graph API + WebView approach) – Fetch public posts; WebView for user engagement.

Ideal Candidate:

3+ years of experience in full-stack mobile/web development.

Proven experience in API integration & OAuth authentication.

Familiarity with social media APIs & compliance restrictions.

Strong knowledge of React Native/Flutter & Node.js/Python.

Ability to optimize API usage to avoid rate limits & ensure scalability.

Experience implementing WebView-based solutions in mobile apps.

Security-focused mindset (handling API tokens, securing user authentication).

Strong debugging & problem-solving skills.
