I represent a payment gateway startup and we are in need of a skilled Shopify plugin developer to create a custom plugin for Shopify.
The primary purpose of this plugin is to facilitate seamless interaction between online shops using Shopify and our payment gateway APIs.
Technical Requirements:
Plugin Development:
- Develop a Shopify plugin that integrates our payment gateway into Shopify stores.
- Ensure the plugin follows Shopify plugin coding standards and best practices.
- Ensure compatibility with the latest versions of Shopify.
API Integration:
- Use the provided API documentation to integrate our payment gateway.
- Implement secure handling and storage of API keys provided by the shop's admin.
Checkout Flow:
Step 1: Payment Link Creation:
- Create a payment link using our API when a customer initiates checkout.
- Display a loading screen or message to the customer during this process.
Step 2: Customer Redirection:
- Redirect the customer to the generated payment link to complete the payment on our platform.
Step 3: Payment Confirmation:
- Handle the callback from our payment platform after the customer completes the payment.
- Display a confirmation message to the customer upon successful payment.
Step 4: IPN Handling:
- Implement Instant Payment Notification (IPN) to handle asynchronous payment confirmations.
- Update the order status in Shopify to 'Paid' upon receiving the IPN.
Admin Configuration:
- Create an admin settings page for the shop's admin to input and save their API keys.
- Display the IPN URL in the admin panel, so that the admin could know where the IPNs will be sent. Provide a way to configure IPN URL.
Security:
- Ensure secure communication with our API using HTTPS.
- Implement proper validation and sanitization of all input data.
- Store API keys securely in the Shopify store's database.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Thoroughly test the plugin for compatibility with various versions of Shopify.
- Test the checkout flow to ensure it works smoothly and reliably.
- Provide documentation for testing the plugin in a staging environment before going live.
