Shift Website to VPS -- 2

currently the issue i am facing is that website is very slow and lags too much when opened on any new device. currently the website is on Web hosting ultimate plan ( Godaddy) i have bought new server there Gen4 VPS Linux 2 CPU. i want to know if i shift it there will my website be fast. and if it is then i want to shift the server
The problem with website being lag is we upload high quality images of cars which keeps on increasing day by day
