Sharetribe Developer for Custom Online Marketplace

Role Overview:
As a Sharetribe Developer, you will be responsible for customising our existing Sharetribe site and developing additional features to meet specific project goals. You will work closely with our team to ensure the platform is robust, secure, and maintains optimal performance. A strong understanding of Sharetribe’s architecture, coding standards, and Rails-based development is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Customise and extend the Sharetribe platform to align with our business needs.
Implement Sharetribe’s best coding practices, including modular design, clean code, and efficient database management.
Develop custom features and integrations using Ruby on Rails, Sharetribe Flex, and APIs.
Ensure the platform is scalable and optimised for performance.
Maintain clean and well-documented code to facilitate future updates.
Collaborate with our team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Perform rigorous testing to ensure platform stability and reliability.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience developing with Sharetribe (Open Source or Flex) and Ruby on Rails.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.
Familiarity with Sharetribe’s recommended best practices, including:
Leveraging modular components for customisation.
Writing maintainable and testable code.
Following Sharetribe’s guidelines for integrating third-party APIs.
Experience with database management and optimisation.
Knowledge of payment gateway integration (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Experience with cloud hosting and deployment is a plus.
