Server Transition for Mass Emailing Plugin in PHP
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
We have a plugin that assists clients in sending documents to Italian schools for obtaining a substitute teacher position, as regulated by the Ministry's ordinance. Currently, our plugin sends mass emails to all schools that meet the client's selected criteria. The issue at hand is that our existing SMTP server has limitations that are too restrictive for our needs. We have identified a company that provides the service we require (a more suitable server), which can be interfaced via API or normally. The plugin is written in PHP.
The work to be done is minimal, yet it has to follow three steps:
1) Identify the points in the code where server access is required and replace the old server with the new one;
2) Conduct a limited series of tests (the plugin itself works well but is limited by the server's capabilities);
3) If everything functions as expected, remove the cron-type delay that we had set up to avoid exceeding the old server's limitations.
