Separate physical access control function from our existing membership software

We have a membership management webapp that has a door system control function included.
The webapp is pure PHP and connects via internet to our linux based RaspberryPi door control unit. The member is issued a QR code that they can pull up on their phone and display to the door camera to unlock the door.
We want to rework the admin door system pages and user display page in Laravel as a stand alone function with restAPI, so it isn't necessary to purchase our entire membership management system to use our access control, but still allowing it to be combined with other systems via the API if desired.
