Sendgrid Account Suspension - API key security issue

We are using sendgrid to send mail from our website. We have received a email claiming the compromise of api key. we are unable to understand how this could have happened. need someone to look into this issue and understand what could have gone wrong. We would also need a Root Cause Analysis of what could have happened as we need to share it with the sendgrid team.
