I'm seeking an experienced developer to create a PHP-based API for accessing weather forecast data from NOAA-GFS.
- Develop an API for retrieving real-time weather forecast data from NOAA-GFS.
- The API will not require integration into an existing system.
- You should have a deep understanding of weather forecasting and the NOAA-GFS data structure
- You have access to the necessary URLs for data retrieval.
For my research project, I am in need of someone proficient in setting up this API to connect with NOAA-GFS. NOAA-GFS, or the Global Forecast System of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, is a widely-used global weather model managed by the National Weather Service (NWS) in the United States. Meteorologists and weather forecasters rely on the NOAA GFS model for accurate weather predictions.
I anticipate candidates to have a proven track record with NOAA-GFS, along with the appropriate URLs for data access, all in JSON format. Further data processing will be managed within the project.
