SMTP erorr on form submission

It's about a website where we have a form integrated for stipe payments. The client opens the link and fills a simple form and pays online via stripe. After payment the message displays that payment is successful but it says SMTP error. So the form submission doesn't shoot automatic mail as expected. Need to correct this so that it sends an automatic email and doesn't show any error on page.
