We already have an existing school management software (written in codeigniter) and parents can pay invoices created by the school. They can pay using the voguepay payment gateway, but henceforth, we will need to implement Paystack
The project will involve 3 of the user categories in the sch mgt software - Super admin, School, and Parent
When a parent views invoices page (From Account Module), for each invoice, there should be an additional way of paying - A button called ‘Request a Loan’
When clicked, it takes them to the loan module, 'New Loan Request' page where they request that money as a loan. The module should only allow them request up to the maximum loan amount requestable as set by the super admin.
When this loan is disbursed, that amount disbursed should be recorded in the payment history page (in account module), as paid invoice, and the original invoice should be reduced to the balance after the loan amount disbursed is deducted. Receipt should be made available, as with other payment modes, but both the payment history and receipt under the account module, should reflect that the money was paid through a loan
When loan is submitted successfully, supper admin processes it and approves it. When approved, that money should be automatically disbursed (paid) into the school's account. And recorded in the loan history page on the school admin's side and the super admin too, and also the parent side
So, in essesnce, this School Fees Loan module should have 4 pages
1. New Loan Request'
2. Loan History
3. Loan settings (for super admin)
4. Transaction History page – This shows a log of successful of failed transactions. E.g
• when they successfully make a payment or repayment of loan, or
• money is deducted from their card, or
• when school receives a disbursement, or
• super admin receives payment from a parent, or
• deduction from card fails, etc etc.
• failed transactions, like failing to deduct money automatically because card decline due to insufficient balance
All 3 users must have this page – i.e. Super Admin, School, and Parent
