Refactor & Professionalize Google Apps Script for Travel Booking
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
we are looking for an experienced Google Apps Script developer to fully refactor and professionalize a complex script we built ourselves for sending booking emails to hotels. The system works – but it was built by amateurs and now needs a proper overhaul.
Project Overview
We run a travel agency using a Shopify-based booking shop. All orders are collected in a Google Sheet. Based on that, we send dynamic HTML emails including booking and statistical info to each hotel.
Current Script Features (~2,000 lines of code):
Filtering and grouping bookings per hotel
Complex statistics section pulled from a “Data” tab
Email templates loaded dynamically from another sheet
Email content generated in both HTML and plain text
Email sending via external API (not GmailApp), including retry handling
Logging system with fallback (e.g. cached logs if the sheet is unavailable)
What we need:
The current script should be refactored from the ground up – we’d love a clean, professional structure, ideally with:
Modular and maintainable architecture
Improved performance and readability
Better error handling and logging
Combining or splitting up functions where needed
Final result should be a stable, button-triggered system that lives inside the same Google Sheet
