Python Developer Needed for Web Scraping
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I'm seeking a skilled Python software engineer to help me develop a code to scrape the websites of 1515 companies worldwide. The purpose is to check for the presence of modern slavery statements in all the existing hyperlinks of their websites. The results will be saved in an Excel file, with a dummy variable indicating whether a statement exists (1) or not (0).
I will provide an Excel file containing the companies and their URLs upon agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a Python script for web scraping.
- Produce output in an Excel file.
- Use a list of specific keywords I will provide to search for modern slavery statements.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience with Python and web scraping.
- Proficient in data analysis and Excel.
- Able to develop a reliable and efficient script.
