Program to reconcile payments

We run a spa in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Some of our clients have got insurance coverage for their massage treatments for which we direct bill to the insurance companies. We are looking to create a program to reconcile the payments from the insurance companies to the payments which should be received (via our CRM software). We have got the input files of the CRM and the payouts from the insurance companies. The program would need to check the date of payment and the client name to check if the payment was received and create a discrepency report as an output.
We have already created this program before but we need to make some changed and the programmer has moved on from this work.
