Automation Engineer Wanted: Build AI-Powered Productivity System with ChatGPT, Google Workspace, and Make.com
Overview:
We're seeking a highly skilled automation engineer to design and implement a smart productivity workflow that connects Google Workspace (Calendar, Tasks, Drive), ReMarkable tablet notes, Strava, and ChatGPT — orchestrated through Make.com. This system will act as a virtual chief of staff, helping prioritise tasks, generate daily summaries, and provide meeting insights and fitness progress reports.
We are also looking to build a long-term relationship with someone who can support and evolve our automation infrastructure over time. If things go well, we’re keen to engage you on a monthly retainer basis.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with Make.com (Integromat) and automation architecture
Google Workspace API integration: Calendar, Tasks, Drive, Gmail
OpenAI (ChatGPT) API for summarisation and prioritisation logic
Web scraping tools/APIs (e.g., LinkedIn, company sites for meeting intel)
Familiarity with fitness API integrations (e.g., Strava)
Experience with monday.com automations is highly preferred
Bonus: Experience with Gmail HTML email templating and workflow logging
Workflow Scope:
Daily (7AM Sydney Time) Email Digest (HTML):
Google Calendar events
GPT-prioritised Google Tasks based on long-term goals
Weather and surf forecast
Workout plan pulled from Google Drive (with progression tracking)
Equity & crypto market summary
One-off meeting analysis: attendee LinkedIn overview + company snapshot (size, revenue, recent projects)
Meeting Note Workflow:
ReMarkable notes emailed, reviewed by chatgpt
Matched to relevant calendar event
Sent to GPT for summarisation + task extraction
Output saved to Drive and synced with Google Tasks
Fitness Tracking:
User logs weight/reps into a Google Sheet
ChatGPT analyses progress and updates upcoming workout plans
Weekly structure includes push/pull tracking and performance columns
