PayU Recurring Payments Integration with GoHighLevel - Extend Existing Payment System
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are seeking an experienced full-stack developer to implement PayU's recurring payment system for our existing GHL (GoHighLevel) product platform. You will extend our current one-time payment integration to support subscription-based billing with full tokenization compliance.
Core Requirements
Extend Existing PayU Integration: Build upon our current one-time payment system (already implemented)
Implement Recurring Payment Flow: Create subscription management using PayU's tokenization API
GHL Integration: Connect PayU recurring payments to GoHighLevel's existing subscription system
Webhook Integration: Handle PayU payment notifications and sync status with GHL
Retry Logic: Implement failed payment retry mechanisms (max 31 days as per PayU requirements)
Note: We use GoHighLevel (GHL) for subscription management, customer dashboards, and admin interfaces. This project focuses solely on the PayU payment processing layer.
Backend Development
API Integration: PayU Europe REST API v2.1 for recurring payments
Token Management: Secure storage and handling of PayU payment tokens
Database Design: Subscription tables, payment history, customer management
Webhook Endpoints: Process real-time payment notifications from PayU
Background Jobs: Automated billing cycles and retry mechanisms
Security Implementation: Follow PayU's security guidelines and recommendations
Frontend Development
No frontend development required - GHL handles all customer and admin interfaces
Payment Forms: Minor modifications to existing PayU integration for recurring payments
Compliance & Security
PayU Requirements Implementation: Follow attached PDF guidelines for recurring payments
Data Protection: Implement required customer consent flows
Notification System: Pre-debit notifications (14-day advance notice recommended)
Complaint Handling: System for processing customer complaints within 3 business days
Access Controls: Secure authentication and authorization systems
Must-Have Technical Skills
Payment Gateway Experience: Proven experience with PayU or similar payment processors
API Integration: Strong experience with REST APIs and webhook handling
Database Design: Experience with subscription billing database architecture
Security Best Practices: Understanding of tokenization, PCI compliance basics
Full-Stack Development: Proficiency in both backend and frontend technologies
Preferred Technologies
Backend: Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), or PHP (Laravel)
Frontend: React, Vue.js, or modern JavaScript frameworks
Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases
Queue Systems: Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar for background processing
Security: SSL/TLS implementation, secure data handling
Experience Requirements
3+ years in payment gateway integrations
2+ years in subscription/recurring billing systems
Previous PayU integration experience (highly preferred)
European payment compliance knowledge (bonus)
GHL/CRM integration experience (bonus)
