PayPal Legacy Button Integration

I am currently looking for a professional to help integrate PayPal legacy buttons into my existing shopping cart system. PayPal's documentation for the legacy buttons is not helpful. My add-to-cart button gets information from a mySQL database, but I'm unable to get the add-to-cart and view-cart buttons to work together. These used to work on an older web site.
