PHP code to set prices from competitors prices
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am in need of a PHP developer to help me implement a pricing strategy that will allow me to undercut my competitors in the rent a car industry. I need a solution that will allow me to automatically set my prices based on their pricing.
We need a php script that every day scrapes the discovercars.com website and follow the next procedure:
1).- Read from tables "cities" the first city
2).- For this city, ask prices for cars from:
- 1 day from today for 1, 3, 7, 15, 30 days rent for all competitors
- same 2 to 90 days from today for same lenghts
- same 120 days from today for same lenghts
- same 135 days from today for same lenghts
- same 150 days from today for same lenghts
- same 165 days from today for same lenghts
- same 180 days from today for same lenghts
3).- Add row to the table Prices with following information:
- City, Date from, rent lenght. Provider name, car type, price
For example: Madrid Airport, 20/05/2023,3,Hertz,Economy,25
4).- Remove all rows with companies not in Competitors table
5).- Select the best price in each day for each lenght and change price in our reservation system
6).- Continue with next city
To change price in our pricing system must be done via API. We will provide credentials and API information.
We will provide the linux server to install the script and database.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in PHP
- Experience with web scraping and data extraction
- Familiarity with competitor price analysis and pricing strategies
- Knowledge of database management and integration
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
Key Deliverables:
- A PHP code that scrapes and extracts pricing data from discovercars.com
- An algorithm that automatically sets my prices based on my competitors' prices, while undercutting them
- A database that stores the pricing data and updates regularly
