This project works with an existing Wix website and a Maria (MySQL) database hosted in AWS. At present, the Wix code has been written to communicate directly with the AWS hosted database. The process is very straightforward; it simply confirms that the person logging in is in fact in our database and "authorized" to log on based on a "Date Until" field in the database. Essentially this date field is used to restrict log ins beyond a certain period of time.
We'd like to change this to use a custom API against the database hosted on a VPS. There is also no method for new users to register. This code has been written by another developer, but we need to also incorporate that form, again hosted on our VPS, to allow logged in, authorized users to edit their personal details.
